Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH is one of the leading suppliers of advanced aircraft systems for the aviation industry. It supplies its products from the fields of flight control/actuation and landing gear systems to virtually all the world’s best-known aircraft manufacturers.

Flight control/actuation systems
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH has established itself as the leading exponent of high lift actuation systems. These systems are used in aircraft ranging from the smallest business jet to the world‘s largest commercial aircraft, the A380. In addition to its work in the field of high lift actuation, the company supplies several other high-tech, German-made flight control systems boasting superb quality, such as the first fully electronic fly-by-wire flight control system for the NH90 series helicopter, key parts of the Airbus A380 flight control system, and the entire fly-by-wire flight control system for the Russian SuperJet100 regional aircraft. This marks out Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH as an exceptional player within the global industry.

Landing gear systems
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH is also a systems supplier for landing gears. It develops and supplies the nose landing gear for the new Airbus A350 XWB and the complete landing gear system for the Chinese ARJ21 regional aircraft. In addition, it is responsible for the complete landing gear system used in the Embraer 170/190, including the brakes. These are just some examples of its remarkable capabilities and expertise.

As well as national R&T projects in the field of high lift actuation, landing gears and modular electronics, the company also prides itself on its European projects such as “Power Optimised Aircraft” (POA) and “More Electric Aircraft Technologies“ (MOET). Together with Thales, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH also jointly runs the “Systems for Green Operations” activities that form part of the “Clean Sky” technology initiative.
