| Products and Services: Labinal is a world-beating supplier of electrical wiring systems for the civil and military aeronautics industry. 6 500 employees at 14 locations on 3 continents (as at 09/09) cover the entire service portfolio, ranging from basic research to systems development, production of the relevant wiring installations, through to integration in aircraft. Revenue of €690 million has been generated across all operations (2007) on the back of close involvement in developing the Airbus A380, the Boeing B787, the Dassault Falcon 7X, the Eurocopter NH90, the General Dynamic F16, etc. Labinal is a suitable partner for assuming overall responsibility for entire process chains as well as commercial risks. Founded in 1986, Labinal GmbH is the German subsidiary of the French company Labinal S.A. and is essentially involved in the areas of development and design. The company specialises in electrical systems. As individual development projects become increasingly complex, so the demands placed on today’s aircraft can only be met through interdisciplinary optimisation. As a result, primary and secondary structures, cabin design or the utilisation of composite materials increasingly account for a larger share of Labinal GmbH’s workload. Aircraft modification, irrespective of whether it involves military derivatives or customised private aircraft, requires an entirely different approach. Certain leeway can be gained from producing small numbers of aircraft. Yet unusual or specific customer requirements call for interdisciplinary aspects to be factored into development and the subsequent approval process. Labinal GmbH has garnered experience in various modification projects and is an acknowledged reliable partner in this segment. Expertise and capacity, both for the modification and development of aircraft, are being continually expanded to ensure customer expectations can also be met in future. |
