| Products and Services: EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The Group includes Airbus, the foremost manufacturer not only of commercial aircraft, but also military tanker and transport aircraft; Eurocopter, the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer; and EADS Astrium, the European leader in space programmes. Its Defence and Security Division provides customers with comprehensive system solutions and makes EADS the leading partner in the Eurofighter consortium, as well as a major shareholder in the global missile systems company MBDA. EADS came into being on 10 July 2000, the result of the merger of DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG of Ger-many, Aerospatiale Matra of France and CASA of Spain. Incorporated under Dutch law (N.V.), the Group is listed on the Frankfurt, Madrid and Paris stock ex-changes. EADS employs around 118 000 people at more than 70 production sites, the majority of them in Germany (approx. 43 500), France, the United Kingdom and Spain, but also in the United States and Australia.
