Products and Services:
KID-Systeme designs, develops and manufactures aircraft cabin electronics. The company specialises in providing the very latest technologies that have been shown to offer sufficient stability for deployment in the aircraft environment. The systems are designed to be small and light and need to fulfil the carriers‘ stringent cost requirements. Above all, however, they need to provide passengers with cutting-edge service. KID-Systeme also possesses considerable expertise in integrating complex new technologies within aircraft systems, including handling the relevant approval processes. KID-Systeme offers two key technologies:
  • SKYpower – the world‘s first 110V AC in-seat power supply system. SKYpower has already been installed in 200 000 seats on aircraft operated by more than 80 carriers, making it the world‘s number one choice of in-seat power supply system.
  • GSM on Board (Global System for Mobile Communication) – the technology behind the first GSM/ GPRS (Global Positioning Reference System) passenger service on international flights. GSM on Board was first featured on board aircraft in 2007 and will soon be available on a number of aircraft operating in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
  •
    Research and Technology Development Priorities:
SKYpower from KID-Systeme was the very first in-seat power supply system to receive approval from both European and US aviation authorities.

This illustrates KID-Systeme’s tremendous success at handling approval and certification processes. The company KID-Systeme and its products have been quality-approved and certified by both national and international aviation authorities, as well as for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
