| Products and Services: Kayser-Threde GmbH is a leading systems house specialising in the design, development and production of high-tech solutions for space exploration, science and industry. These include systems and solutions for manned and unmanned space flight, optoelectronics and process control technology. In the space sector Kayser-Threde has evolved over three decades as a reliable partner to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the European Space Agency (ESA) and national and international scientific organisations. The company makes important contributions to all the major space programmes. The successes achieved by Kayser-Threde include the development of more than 100 scientific instruments, systems and subsystems for space stations, satellites and interplanetary missions. The company is involved in the development of ten space telescopes and cameras for astronomy and Earth observation, contributing optical systems and subsystems. Kayser-Threde has been assigned overall responsibility for two German satellites. In addition to the environmental satellite EnMAP, which is equipped with complex hyperspectral technology, Kayser-Threde is prime contractor for the TET-1 satellite mission for testing new space technologies under the On-Orbit Verification Programme. In the process control sector Kayser- Threde holds a market share of more than 55 % in the automation of the traction power network for German Rail. The range of activities includes process coupling systems for control centres, station control systems and telecontrol nodes (based on VPN technology). Kayser-Threde is appreciated for its healthy cooperation with customers – from project launch through to final completion, with work ranging from studies, analyses and system design, through special developments, testing and production, to implementation, operation and support. Given the technical requirements that apply in the space industry, Kayser-Threde has established the highest quality standards, which are reflected in the reliability of products, systems solutions and processes. |
