Raytheon Deutschland GmbH (RD) is a German subsidiary of the Raytheon Company in the USA. It provides MRO services for customers in Germany and Europe. RD is responsible for the system design for the Emitter Location System (ELS) on the ECR Tornado. In addition to the ELS, RD also provides extensive support in Freising for the radar on-board the P3 CUP Orion. The company specialises in developing digital receivers for use in radar systems.

The parent company Raytheon Company is a global technology corporation that brings together state-of-the-art electronics, complex mission systems integration, and other capabilities in the areas of sensor technology, effects, command & control, as well as communications and reconnaissance systems.

C3I: Integrated ‘Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence’ systems that optimise operational planning and execution. C3I systems provide integrated real-time support to decisionmakers on the battlefield, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence.

Mission support: Raytheon provides total life-cycle support for the full range of missions and platforms. Successful missions call for the use of complex technology in critical, challenging environments. Raytheon mission support covers all these areas, addressing everything from the supply of information, its maintenance, through to securing information flows beyond obsolescence.
